This award is given in memory of one of our finest young leaders who died in a tragic accident on July 31, 2011. Chandler “Jimmy” Brazell was an excellent TeenPact staffer, a gifted worship leader, a passionate missionary and a beloved friend who spent his life telling others about the love of God. Jimmy had one life message: love. He truly understood what it meant to live with compassion and purpose, motivated by God’s love to give hope to the world. Jimmy was known to say, “It takes a lot of love to live” and the winners of this essay contest follow his example of impacting their communities for Christ.
Please take time to read more about Jimmy’s life and legacy at www.jimmybrazell.com.
Congratulations to everyone to participated and a special round of applause for our 2013 winners! As a way of both honoring them and Jimmy’s life, we are posting all of the winning essays from this year’s contest. Jimmy had one life message: love. He loved Jesus Christ with abandon and let that love spill over into the lives of everyone he encountered. God calls each of us to be the hands and feet of Christ to the world around us.
