Housing & Evening Session Information

Students attending TeenPact Georgia are invited to stay with the staff at Camp Fortson, located in Hampton, Georgia. In addition to the time at the Capitol, staying at the camp gives students the opportunity to relax and fellowship with like-minded peers in a more casual environment. Students play games, participate in small groups, play Ultimate Frisbee, enjoy a time of worship, and are challenged by a message from the Class Director. Time at Camp Fortson is an integral part of the TeenPact experience, allowing students to combine the academic emphasis at the Capitol with a spiritual focus on students’ relationships with God and one another.

Lodging, transportation, breakfasts and dinners are included in the residential camp fee of $160 for 3 nights or $200 for 4 nights. We encourage parents to come and enjoy the week as chaperones and assist with student transportation at a discounted rate of $120 for 3 nights or $155 for 4 nights. To reserve your slot at the camp, please register online.

All students and chaperones staying at Camp Fortson should go to the camp first on Monday morning BETWEEN 9:00 and 11:00 AM (for directions, click here). This will allow you the time needed to check into the camp, load your luggage into your cabin, stop for lunch on the way to the Capitol and arrive at the Capitol Rotunda by 12:45 PM. (Please note that NO luggage is to be brought into the Capitol.)

Camp Departure:

FOUR DAY CLASS

Parents should return to Camp Fortson after the graduation ceremony on Thursday afternoon to pick up students’ luggage. All four-day students should depart camp no later than 8:00PM (Pizza Party and fellowship, 5:30 – 8:00PM).

POLITICAL COMMUNICATION WORKSHOP

Parents, pick up students’ luggage at the camp Dining Hall between NOON – 2:00PM on Friday, and proceed to the Capitol by 4:00PM to meet your student at the close of the workshop.
