Share Hope This Christmas Season

Imagine it is Christmas morning and you are gathered in the living room with your family all around. The smell of the homemade breakfast fills the air, the stockings, filled with treats, are hung on the mantle, the Christmas tree is surrounded by presents, and you are all sitting down with your favorite hot drink to read the Good News of the birth of Jesus Christ. That is a scene that is repeated from house to house across the TeenPact nation with great anticipation. (You can see in this photograph my joy on Christmas morning in the 1960s!)

However, there are many children around the world that are waking up without a tree, without a homemade breakfast, without families, and without presents. That is one reason that TeenPact Leadership Schools has chosen to partner this year with Operation Christmas Child – to be able to provide a small gift to children without hope. In the Richmond office we gathered and packed over twenty boxes that will be sent around the world to children in need. In several states around the country, TeenPact students are having packing parties – in Georgia, Florida, Oklahoma, Alaska, and elsewhere. Whether you gather with family, with friends at your church, with fellow TeenPacters, or by yourself, let me encourage you to consider packing a box, sharing hope this season.
