National Convention will be held at Lee University, located in Cleveland, Tennessee. Just 30 miles from Chattanooga, this beautiful campus is the ideal location for TeenPact’s largest event.

For those driving

Please arrive at Lee University between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Monday, May 20. You can plan on leaving Lee by 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 26. If you are interested in organizing a carpool, we would be more than happy to connect you with other students from your area. Please let us know by contacting the TeenPact National Office at [email protected].

For those flying

Please book your flight into Chattanooga, TN (CHA). Please arrive between 1:00 p.m. and  4:00 p.m. on Monday, May 20. TeenPact staff will meet you at your baggage claim when you arrive. Please wear a TeenPact shirt to help us find you! You should plan to depart Chattanooga after 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 26. We will deliver you back to your ticketing counter when you depart.

Note: Due to scheduling, all National Convention attendees will be dropped off at the airport by 12:00 p.m. If your flight is later in the day, be prepared to wait in the airport until your departure.

We are not able to make airport runs to Nashville, Knoxville, or Atlanta, but we may be able to connect you with someone driving through these cities. If you would like to assist with student pickup, please let us know. Contact the Registration Team at [email protected] for more details or for any other travel requests.

Remember, we will be media-free during National Convention so plan on leaving your iPods, laptops, books, etc. in your suitcase during the week.

There is no homework for this event.

• Please review the Dress Code before packing.
• Dress is casual for the week, but some people like to dress up a little bit in the evenings.
• If you’re a candidate, consider dressing in a way that tells people “take me seriously,” especially during primaries, open forum and election returns.
• Business casual is optional on the evening when Elections Results are announced.

Parents and chaperones

TeenPact National Convention gathers over 100 chaperones from all over the country to experience the largest TeenPact Event of the year. Chaperones at National Convention are able to experience the event to the fullest, participating in worship, sessions, free time activities, and even small group breakouts for chaperones. Because of the size of the event, we ask chaperones to sign up for various volunteer roles throughout the week, including time keeping for sports, staffing the Information Desk , ushering during sessions, and more. Each task for chaperone volunteers comes with instructions and resources to make the responsibilities simple and enjoyable. 

When chaperones are not volunteering for a task, we invite them to participate in all event activities. Chaperones are welcome to vote in elections, participate on sports teams, and fellowship with one another. 

Chaperone housing at National Convention is consistent with many of our Residential Camps at State Classes. Chaperones stay in a room on a hall with students of the same gender to provide additional adult supervision during the time in the dorms. Chaperones will typically be housed in a room with another chaperone, which may be in a suite with hall leadership, or a room of students.

Other Guests

Because we guard the focus and experience of our students very carefully, we have a strict visitor policy. All requests should be directed to the National Convention Program Director, Quinton Cools, for approval.

Every year, National Convention hosts high-energy, nationwide elections for a single Presidential/Vice Presidential ticket, four Senate seats, and nine Representative seats. Campaigning at National Convention takes elections to the next level as candidates find creative and ambitious ways to spread their name recognition, making for a fun, exciting, and competitive environment!

Each candidate will first have to secure their party’s nomination in order to continue into the general election, making that first primary election a key part of the race! Continue checking in for more information on the 2024 National Election as NatCon gets closer.
