A Bittersweet Farewell: Elizabeth Mallicoat Albano Reflects on Her Journey with TeenPact
When Elizabeth Mallicoat, now Elizabeth Albano, first attended a TeenPact Four Day class in 2011 at just 12 years old, she had no idea how much this experience would shape her life. “I didn’t have a personal relationship with the Lord,” she reflects, “and that was the event that pushed me to make my faith my own.” This decision set the foundation for a journey filled with growth, service, and deep connections that would impact not only her faith but also her future career and personal life.
Elizabeth’s TeenPact story didn’t stop with that first class. After attending a One Day class in 2010 and the Four Day in 2011, she went on to intern with TeenPact in 2017. These experiences deepened her passion for the ministry, leading her to join the TeenPact staff as Communications Manager in September 2019, right after graduating college. In 2022, Elizabeth stepped into the role of Director of Communications, where she led with creativity and vision, leaving a lasting mark on the ministry.
During her time in this role, Elizabeth contributed to many exciting changes and growth within TeenPact. Among her proudest achievements are helping create the virtual National Convention experience in 2020, designing the TeenPact Strong campaign, and working on the branding for National Conventions since 2020. She also played a key role in starting the TeenPact Podcast, which has become a valuable resource for students and alumni alike. However, one of her most treasured accomplishments was creating the Media event with other team members and designing its curriculum, which has provided students with unique opportunities to engage with media from a biblical perspective.
As Elizabeth prepares to transition out of her role after five years, she looks back on her time with TeenPact with a mix of gratitude and anticipation. “I’m going to miss getting to use my creative talents for a ministry I love so much,” she says. But Liz is also excited about what lies ahead, both for herself and for TeenPact. She is looking forward to embracing her new season as a mother, investing fully in her children, family, and the women’s ministry at her church. Her passion for discipleship and encouraging other women will continue to be a driving force in her life.
Looking toward TeenPact’s future, Elizabeth is eager to see how the ministry will continue to equip students to engage the culture in various avenues of life. She is particularly excited about the potential for new alumni events that will further this mission. Although she is stepping away from her formal role, Elizabeth’s connection to TeenPact remains strong. She looks forward to the day when she can bring her own boys to their first TeenPact One Day class, beginning the next chapter of her family’s TeenPact journey.
Elizabeth’s story is a beautiful reminder of how TeenPact not only shapes young lives but also fosters lifelong relationships and opportunities for service. As she moves into this new chapter, we celebrate her contributions and look forward to seeing how God will continue to work through her in the years to come. Thank you, Elizabeth, for all you’ve done to impact TeenPact and its students—you will be greatly missed!
Liz concludes, “I am so grateful to have worked with such an incredible team in the Communications Department. They are all truly so talented and I know I couldn’t be leaving our work in better hands!”
