Jessie is passionate about helping people discover that God is at work in history, government, and their own lives. She has been married to her high school sweetheart, Andre, for more than 30 years. Together they have been blessed with five wonderful children—Preston & Catherine (parents of Hartley, Levi, and Leah), Caite & Devone, Cuyler & Elise, Skylar & Ryan, and Cade & Geoffrey—and nothing brings them more joy than spending time together as a family.
When her oldest son attended his first TeenPact class in 2009, Jessie signed up to volunteer—and never looked back. In 2017, she became Louisiana State Coordinator and now also serves on TeenPact’s Field Director Team. She loves equipping students to understand how government works, think biblically about leadership and citizenship, and confidently live out their faith wherever God calls them.
Jessie also teaches history and government from a biblical worldview and, alongside Andre, advocates for homeschool freedom in Louisiana.
Whether she’s teaching in a classroom, mentoring students, or walking the halls of the State Capitol, Jessie’s heart is to encourage the next generation to know Christ, lead with integrity, and faithfully influence the world around them.
In her free time, you’ll find Jessie taking long walks with Andre and Bennett (her much-loved pup), tending her plants, reading a good book, or finding any excuse to spend time with her grandchildren.
