Dean Nelson

Reverend Dean Nelson, his wife, Julia, and their three children – Michaela, Amani, and Brandon – live in Montgomery Village, Maryland. Dean currently serves as the National Outreach Director for Human Coalition, a pro-life, non-profit organization, and as the Chairman of the Frederick Douglass Foundation, a conservative, grassroots political organization.

 

In his role as the Chairman of the Douglass Leadership Institute, Dean educates, equips, and empowers faith-based leaders to embrace and apply Biblical principles in life and the marketplace. With a passion for the pro-life movement, Dean has served as the Vice President of Underserved Outreach at Care Net where he led Care Net’s nationwide efforts to equip and train urban leaders and churches in the development of pregnancy centers in underserved communities. He is also the former Executive Director for the Network of Politically Active Christians (NPAC) and the former National Director of Global Outreach Campus Ministries. He is a licensed minister from Salem Baptist Church and an ordained pastor with Wellington Boone Ministries.
