JohnDavid Thompson lives in Woodstock, Georgia, though he grew up not far away in Canton. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Thomas Edison State College, an M.Div., a Th.M. in Old Testament Studies, and a Ph.D. in Old Testament, Hebrew, and Semitic Languages. JohnDavid serves bi-vocationally as a pastor at Canton Bible Church and as the Managing Partner and CEO of Lux Solutions, a construction management firm specializing in energy-efficient commercial applications. He enjoys reading, fishing, golf, coaching and playing soccer, and spending time with his wife, Elyse, and their four children.
JohnDavid first attended TeenPact in 1998, later returning as a staffer and eventually serving as a Program Director in 2004. He is married to his wife, Elyse. As his own children began attending TeenPact events, he stepped back into involvement—first at the One-Day and, most recently, by Class Directing when his oldest attended the Four-Day. He is grateful for the chance to invest in program directors, interns, staffers, and students alike, and he counts it a privilege to help pass on the legacy, knowledge, and tools that shaped his own teenage and young adult years.
