John Hood

John was born in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, before moving with his family to Redding, California, and eventually settling in Walnut Shade, Missouri. His childhood was full of adventure, from mountain biking in Moab, Utah, to skiing in Sun Valley, to spending time on the beach in South Carolina. In his free time, John enjoys playing ultimate frisbee, spending time outdoors, and playing drums for a local youth outreach center. A fun fact about John is that he used to knit giant eight-foot scarves and has even spun wool into yarn. He also owns an auto detailing business with his brother and hopes to continue growing it into something that can support future business endeavors.

John’s first TeenPact experience came when his mom signed him up for a Four Day State Class without his knowledge or desire. Although he came into the week determined not to enjoy it, his mind was completely changed after the first day, and he could not wait to come back. Through TeenPact, the Lord has worked in John’s life in many ways, especially by helping him see the value of surrendering to the Lord’s plan and will for his life. He is excited for the opportunity to travel the country, meet people in unique places, and watch how the Lord works in lives all across the nation.
