Ken Tangel

Ken Tangel lives in Geneseo, New York, with his wife, Laura. They have been married for 23 years and are parents to a large and lively crew—seven biological children and two “borrowed” kiddos who have become part of the family. Ken attended SUNY Geneseo and Trinity Evangelical College of the Bible, and in 2016 earned his master’s degree in biblical counseling. He now serves full-time as a biblical counselor with Terebinth Counseling. In addition to his counseling work, Ken runs a camp for families who have children struggling with mental health challenges, a ministry that reflects both compassion and calling.

Ken previously served with TeenPact for many years, including time as a State Coordinator in New York and the New England area, and several years working for the National Office. Many of his children have also participated in TeenPact as students and staffers, making the ministry a meaningful part of their family’s story. As a Class Director, Ken loves witnessing those “aha” moments—when staff and students encounter Scripture from a fresh perspective and experience genuine spiritual growth.
