Marco Pineda

Although he was born In New York and raised in the peach state of Georgia, Marco now calls the charming city of Oxford, Mississippi, home. Oxford is the place where the tea is the sweetest, the people are the friendliest, and the SEC fans are the craziest. Marco lives with his family: his parents, three siblings, and his dog, Bear. His family is very close, and they love spending time with each other at home and abroad. Because both of his parents are from foreign backgrounds, Marco developed an early passion for travel, especially internationally. He hopes to be able to travel the world as often as possible, experiencing different cultures, customs, and cuisines.

Even though he no longer plays competitively, Marco is an avid basketball fan. He loves watching the game and playing it with friends. Living right outside the campus of the University of Mississippi, one of Marco’s favorite activities is attending “Ole Miss” football, basketball, and baseball games with his brothers. He loves getting involved in his community and often participates in service projects around the city.

Marco attended his first Teenpact class as a little One Day student in Atlanta in 2018. Marco is thrilled to be serving on the 2023 Intern Team and cannot wait for the adventures ahead. He looks forward to serving and working with all the students and staff he will meet. Most of all, Marco is thrilled to see how God will use him and others for eternal impact.
