Alaskan at heart, Marianne is grateful to have called The Last Frontier home for nearly her entire life. She has been married to her best friend, Gabe for 27 years, and together they have four wonderful children, and two granddaughters.
In 2014, a dear friend invited the Nelsons to TeenPact, shaping the trajectory of their family. Through meeting like-minded families and observing young adults thinking biblically about leadership, living out genuine faith, and confidently pursuing God’s call on their lives- TeenPact ignited a passion for ministry and living on mission. As a result, three of her children served as traveling interns, while Marianne served as the Alaska State Class Coordinator before transitioning to her current role on the Field Director Team.
After decades of living her dream of raising children and homeschooling, Marianne treasures the opportunity to invest deeply in her family and community. Whether taking a long walk, hiking, enjoying thought provoking conversations over coffee, engaging in her local community council, baking sourdough bread, or gathering around the table with the family for Sunday dinner, she finds immense joy in the simple gifts of everyday life. Her greatest desire is to point people toward Christ by encouraging them to faithfully pursue the purpose He has for their lives.
Marianne is honored to serve in a ministry that has profoundly blessed her own faith. She is encouraged by God’s work through TeenPact and is delighted to witness lives being transformed through the mission of equipping the next generation to grow as disciples of Christ.
