Marisa Garcia grew up in the small and vibrant town of Wallis, Texas. This community is full of scenic places to view the Lord’s creation. Spending time with her mom and younger brother is something she holds close to her heart. Some of the best conversations with her family have happened around the kitchen laughing and talking about the events of the day. Growing up, Marisa could be found playing outside, baking cookies, and writing songs with her brother (although her brother would never admit it). Since childhood, she has grown in her love for playing musical instruments and currently serves on the worship team at church.

A few things Marisa is passionate about, are hiking, anything coffee-related, traveling, and sweet conversations with friends. The Lord has placed international missions on Marisa’s heart and she hopes to help make the Lord known across the nations in the future.

Marisa reluctantly attended her first state class in 2020 as a requirement from one of her teachers. By the end of the week, she fell in love with the ministry due to the intentionality and excellence that was displayed. This past season, Marisa has been impacted by the Lord’s faithfulness. In the 2023 season, Marisa is excited about seeing ways the Lord is going to continue to grow His kingdom and make His heart known to youth across the nation.
