2020 TeenPact Intern

Miriam Testa

Miriam Testa is from the small town of Leavenworth, the first city established in the great state of Kansas. Having lived the first half of her life in North Carolina, Miriam was reluctant to call the Midwest her home. While her heart prefers open waters and mountains, she loves getting to adventure in the sunflower state by hiking, going out on the lake, or camping with her three siblings. Living right on the outskirts of Kansas City, she has enjoyed learning about the city, seeing art museums, visiting farmers markets, and reading in local coffee shops.

If you know Miriam, you know that shrimp is her favorite food, plants are her newfound hobby, and Josh Garrels is on shuffle. Growing up, she was known for rescuing stray animals, somehow always fostering kittens or bringing an abandoned baby bird back to life. Her dog and best companion, Winston, was also a rescue and they have been inseparable ever since. She currently works as a swim coach for the Ft. Leavenworth Lancers and loves getting to pass on the skill and passion for the sport onto the next generation.

Miriam’s love for learning and teaching has ultimately been fueled through her time with TeenPact. Once a shy student, she is grateful for the ways God has used this ministry to disciple and train her, giving her a desire to grow closer in relationship with the Lord and push others to do the same in fellowship.
