Peter Martin

Peter Martin grew up in Minnesota before moving to California for college where he met the sunshine of his life—Lydia. While working for a health insurance company as a group underwriter, they moved from California to Minnesota to Connecticut.

 

It was at the inaugural TeenPact Connecticut State Class in 2004 when their oldest children attended the class that the Martin family fell in love with TeenPact. Since then, TeenPact has been a rich part of their life as the Martin kids have participated as students, staff, Traveling Interns, and employees. Since becoming the CEO of TeenPact, the Martin home in Richmond, Virginia, has become the welcoming home-away-from-home for hundreds of TeenPact staff, Traveling Interns, and other volunteers.

 

Amidst the busyness of these visitors, Peter and Lydia love to host their eight children, sons- in-law, and grandkids (future TeenPacters!) at home or their favorite beach vacation spot. With one of his favorite quotes being “not all readers are leaders, but all leaders are readers,” you can expect to find Peter with a book and cup of coffee in hand when he has a few spare moments.
