Ryan McGaughey

Ryan McGaughey lives in Independence, Missouri, though he originally grew up in Kansas City. He is married to his wife, Megan, and works in sales as a lighting and energy consultant for Voss Lighting. A Journeyman Electrician and graduate of the Abundant Life Leadership Institute, Ryan is deeply involved in ministry—he’s an ordained deacon, teaches regularly in various ministries at Abundant Life, and is currently pursuing ordination for pastoral ministry.

In his free time, Ryan enjoys hiking, BBQ, going to the movies, and spending time with friends and family. A former drummer and lead singer in an alternative rock band, he still brings creativity and energy to everything he does. Ryan first attended a TeenPact class in 2022, helping with meal setup, cleanup, and carpooling, and he is excited to step into the role of Class Director. What excites him most is the opportunity to mentor students and help them engage God’s Word with confidence—making the Bible feel less intimidating and more accessible for the next generation.
