Silas grew up in Cumming, Georgia, near Lake Lanier, which is known for having a “ghost town” beneath the water. In his free time, Silas enjoys watching movies with his family and friends, playing pickleball, football, or ultimate frisbee, and drawing. He is currently a student at Boyce College and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he is preparing for vocational pastoral ministry. Silas aspires to one day serve as an elder in the church and is excited to continue growing in his leadership through the Traveling Internship.
Silas first got involved with TeenPact in 2022 after one of his teachers, who had sent her own children to TeenPact, encouraged his school to bring a group of students to State Class. He arrived as a shy student sitting in the back row and left as a confident young man who wanted to make an impact on the culture. Through the example of the staffers and interns on his class, Silas was called to a higher standard than he had set for himself. TeenPact has given him tools and confidence to boldly proclaim the wondrous works of his Creator, and he is most excited to share the joy of the Lord with students and call them to a higher standard in the same way others did for him.
