Tabitha grew up in the small town of Brookston, Indiana, surrounded by cornfields, flat farmland, and some of the most beautiful sunsets the Midwestern sky has to offer. As the second youngest of seven kids, she loves her family deeply and grew up tagging along with her siblings as they built forts, dug holes in the yard, and made movies together. Tabitha is a homebody who loves a day at home to read and spend time with family, but she also enjoys running, calisthenics, soccer, walks, thrifting, getting coffee with friends, listening to podcasts, eating pasta, and napping. She is passionate about music and musical worship, loves playing piano and guitar, and also really enjoys math, especially the satisfaction of working through a complicated problem and finding the right answer.
After her gap year, Tabitha hopes to attend college, though she is still waiting on the Lord for direction and next steps. She plans to take a few online classes this fall, work to save for college, and would love to study something connected to mathematics. Long term, she hopes to serve in local ministry and use her gifts for the Lord wherever He calls her. Tabitha first attended TeenPact State Class in 2023 after hearing for years from her older siblings how impactful it was. Since then, through two years as a student and two years as a staffer, the Lord has taught her about trusting Him, giving up control, and finding joy and strength in weakness. TeenPact has shown her the value of uplifting Christian community, challenged her to encourage those around her at home, and given her countless testimonies of the Lord’s love and faithfulness. This season, Tabitha is most excited to see God work in hearts across the nation and to share Christ’s love with TeenPact staff and students.
