Thank you!
We continue to praise the Lord for the record number of young people TeenPact was able to teach and reach during the 2022 State Class Season – 3,358 Four Day Students and 2,137 One Day Students, almost 5,500 total students. Your support makes these classes possible! This year, 60 State Classes were hosted, starting in late January and concluding in early May.
Because some of these Classes reached maximum capacity and have growing interest, three additional State Classes will be offered in 2023–we are excited to announce the addition of Iowa II, Maryland II, and Missouri III. Additionally, we are excited to bring the regional New England and Northeast classes to the TeenPact nation.
In February, TeenPact celebrated hosting the 1,000th State Class!
Florida State Class leaders were able to surprise the students by having Governor Ron DeSantis join them for a photo shoot. Students also enjoyed the opportunity to ask Governor DeSantis some of their own questions which he graciously answered during his time with the class. (See above image.)
TeenPact students are becoming tomorrow’s leaders, today. Below are a few of our favorite testimonies from this year:
- Nebraska Attorney General, Doug Peterson, spoke to TeenPact students in March, saying, “I spent time discussing important issues with bright TeenPact Nebraska students today. Our state and nation wait for them as future leaders.”
- First-time Student, Ben Carpenter of North Dakota shares, “I was glad that the Staffers gently coaxed us to be involved in the activities. One Staffer sat by me and encouraged me to ask a question, so I did. Afterwards, I felt more confident to participate. The Class went by so fast – I was soaking up all the new information and wanted it to last longer.”
- Luka Carpenter, also a first-time student, says, “TeenPact Legislation was my favorite part of the Class. I was learning so much and really enjoyed it.”
- Ben and Luka’s mom, Emily Carpenter, relates, “I was able to stay and watch. I was extremely impressed with the leaders teaching and interacting with the kids [students]. I appreciated the no media policy and the encouragement to study the Bible together. The pre-class homework and Class provide a lot of great skills, like writing a bill. My boys want to return.”
- TeenPact Louisiana parent, Delilah Marie Coyne, shared, “[This was] an amazing week! Awesome people and a great program for teens!”
At TeenPact, we believe students learn best by doing. That’s why State Classes consist of hands-on civics education and leadership training, coupled with gospel-centered discipleship. At a TeenPact State Class, young people are encouraged and taught how to embrace their call as the next generation of leaders through the unique tools, teaching, and opportunities TeenPact provides.
