Where to Meet
Four Day Class:
On Monday, please arrive by 12:30 pm to enter the building through the public entrance of the Government Center South building at 402 West Washington Street. Be aware there may be a long line as you go through security so please allow a little extra time. After you walk through security, a TeenPact staffer will meet and direct you to the classroom. On Monday only, pick-up will be at 5 pm.
If you are staying at the camp – Please drop off your luggage at the camp no later than 11 am Monday morning, then see the above instructions for entering the Government Center building. Do not bring luggage into the Capitol. If you miss the 11 am deadline, your parent must stay for the class and take your luggage to the camp when you leave at 5 pm.
Tuesday-Thursday, students should enter through the same security checkpoint at 8:30 am and go directly to our Conference Room. Pickup will be at 3 pm.
Pick-up: Although entry is only through the Washington St. security checkpoint, students can exit any door. Parents may want to scout out the driving patterns around the Government South building and set up a pre-arranged meeting place at another door or make those arrangements by phone when class dismisses.
One Day Class:
Please arrive by 9:30 am to enter the Government Center South building through the public entrance at 402 West Washington Street. Be aware that there may be a long line as you go through security so please allow a little extra time for this. After you go through security, TeenPact staff will meet and direct you to Conference Room B.
PARENTS:
We welcome parents to attend the Four Day state classes free of charge! We are excited about TeenPact and are looking forward to you joining us! We ask that all parents and family members staying at the Capitol abide by the TeenPact dress code. Out of respect for our speakers and staff, please do not use laptops and cell phones in the classroom. If you must text, answer a call, check email, or tweet, please step into the hallway. Parents are also encouraged to attend the graduation ceremony on Thursday from 1:00-3:00 pm in the Government Center South, Conference Room B.

Parking & Directions
When legislators are in session Monday through Thursday, there are very few metered parking spaces and these are short-term. To find up-to-date info on parking garages, click on the following link and select Indiana Government Center as the Attraction.
The cheapest ALL day parking: Indianapolis Zoo / 1200 West Washington St. for $6 per day (free if you are a zoo member). Do not walk along Washington St. Follow the sidewalk between the zoo and White River Gardens and you will enjoy a safe hike across the White River on a pedestrian bridge, past the NCAA Hall of Champions, Indiana State Museum, and Eiteljorg Museum. Keep walking—the Government South building is the next building after the Eiteljorg. The only road to cross is West St. at the intersection of Washington & West.
Housing Information
We will be staying at the Camp Camby Conference and Retreat Center, 10740 E County Road 700 S, Camby, IN. Camp Camby is conveniently located only 14 miles from the Indiana Statehouse. Students and parent chaperones stay in bunkhouse style rooms with separate facilities for guys and girls.
CAMP REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE on Friday, January 13, 2012.
Residential cost: $130 for 3 nights and 6 meals or $170 for 4 nights and 8 meals (if student stays over for the Friday Public Speaking class). All students are responsible for their own lunches which can be purchased at the Government Center cafeteria.
PARENT CHAPERONES/DRIVERS:
We are so grateful for parents who are willing and able to help. We cannot do TeenPact without you.
We need several 12-15 passenger vans to transport the camp students to and from the Statehouse each day. If you have a van/vehicle and are willing to drive our students, please contact Anna Montgomery with the number of passengers your van can carry. We reimburse gas and your camp cost if at all possible. Even if you do not have a large size van, we would still love to have you come and experience the class and camp with us. The camp cost for parents is $115 for three nights or $150 for four.
If you have any questions about camp, chaperoning, or driving, please contact Anna Montgomery at indiana@teenpact.com.
