One Day Class (ages 8-12)
The government doesn’t just impact grown adults. It impacts the whole family—teens and children alike. This means that young people (no matter how young) have just as much responsibility, and as much capability, to have a voice in their local government as do those old enough to vote.
TeenPact’s One Day State Class for 8—12 year olds gives young people the tools and training to do just that—get involved to make a difference!
The One Day Class takes elements from our week-long government class for teenagers and condenses them into one action-packed, exciting day for elementary students. They will become Senators in a mock legislature where they discuss bills that they have written themselves, pray for their leaders during a prayer walk, watch a skit about the legislative process, and discover their capitol building by going on a scavenger hunt! These and many more hands-on, on-site activities will help students understand their state government as well as the role of Christians in politics.
Taught by a caring staff team, this class is designed for parents and children to attend together, with no extra charge for the parent. The enthusiastic and encouraging atmosphere will make this a class that you won’t soon forget!
Student tuition is $40 for the first child and $30 for each sibling. Check here for discounts!
When is it?
The One Day class meets on the Friday following the Four Day program. This class is designed for parents and children to attend together – one parent is required to attend per family and will come at no charge.
Where do we need to go on Friday?
Please see your state page for information on what time and where to meet on the day of your class.
What do we wear to the One Day class?
We ask our young men to wear a collared shirt, dress pants and tie. We ask that young ladies wear mid-calf skirts or dresses. Wear comfortable dress shoes and expect to do some walking. The dress code for parents is a modest and professional outfit.
