TeenPact Venture 2022

TeenPact Venture presents a challenge for young men to be unshakable leaders characterized by integrity, humility, and wisdom – at a time when societal standards for young men are declining. This event is a week for our male students to explore what it means to be a man of Godly character in a society where little is expected of them. 

Sixty-seven young men, more than 10 dad chaperones, and TeenPact leaders gathered at Fort Bluff in Dayton, TN, in September for this powerful event. A few dads provided this feedback:

• “I was pleasantly surprised at the richness of this event. As a first-timer, I had no idea what to expect. Venture has renewed my spirit, as I have felt rather stagnant lately. I look forward to seeing how this affects my son, myself, and our relationship.”
• “Unbelievable camp. My boys are hooked.”
• “What a blessing! My cup is full! What a joy to gather with young men and their dads to worship, learn together, play sports, and pray together. The dad bonding was awesome.”

First introduced in 2011, TeenPact Venture gives young men direct training in valuable life skills such as financial and time management, interviewing, auto and home maintenance, social etiquette, and more. Led by an all-star team, including our 2022 Intern Guys and Program Directors, Venture provides young men with a launchpad to pursue excellence and impact their world for Christ. 

One young man relates about his 2022 Venture experience:

“Wow. Let me count the ways this event has impacted me. I’ve gained so much practical info through man-moments and breakouts. [This week has had] such awesome morning and evening sessions and an amazing theme. By God’s grace, this week will really be a turning point in my life as I go home and desire to practice what I’ve learned this week. No more ‘when I’m older I will…’ This, now, is the time to be a faithful Christian pilgrim. “

Other young men share about the impact this week had on them:

• “This week has shown me how to be a man, work as a team, and make great friends. I loved the sessions.”
• “It definitely gave me a lot to take back and think about– on leadership and how I can take that back to my communities. This experience helped show me what it really means to be a man from a Christian perspective and encouraged me to give it my all when it comes to trying new things.”
• “It has given me a necessary boost into spending time with the Lord daily, and getting accountability for struggles at home.”
• “I saw how wonderful it was to be in community with men seeking after the Lord.”
• “This week has shown me what a true brother is. The Lord has revealed himself through the daily messages, showing me how valued I am and how I need to take joy in His presence in my life. Venture has shown how I have taken my faith for granted. The Lord is mighty and loving! Thank you, team staffers and everyone who made this experience possible. May the Lord bless you and keep you, may He make His face shine upon you, may He be gracious to you and give you peace.”
