Encore The Impact Continues

Jared Self, TeenPact Arkansas Alumnus

TeenPact alumnus Jared Self reflects on the profound impact TeenPact has had on his life.

After attending the Arkansas Four Day State Class for three years, Jared shares, “I was blessed with the opportunity to staff the Arkansas class in 2014. That was definitely the biggest leadership role I had been entrusted with up to that point, and it helped me learn how to faithfully serve in a position of trust.”

Jared further explains how TeenPact influenced his decision to become an attorney. “TeenPact profoundly impacted my life, especially my career. Attending the Arkansas Four Day State Class helped me realize I enjoy the field of law and politics, especially state government. TeenPact  awakened a love for law for me.”

“As I was leaning toward and praying about attending college with the intent to attend law school afterward, I went to TeenPact Judicial to get a little dose of what law school and being an attorney might be like. I highly enjoyed the event, and felt confirmed in being called to become an attorney.”

“Many elements of TeenPact–prayer walks, journaling practice with Bonjour (morning Bible and prayer time), and devotionals at night (Rendezvous)–all created habits that I still apply today.”

Jared serves as an Assistant Attorney General at the Arkansas Office of Attorney General, working in the Consumer Utility Rate Advocacy Division (CURAD) where he represents ratepayers before the Arkansas Public Service Commission.
