Read PostThrough dynamic experiences, TeenPact seeks to inspire youth in their relationship with Christ and train them to understand the political process, value their liberty, defend the Christian faith, and engage the culture around them. “Changing lives to change the world” is more than a vision statement to us. It’s what we do every day.
At TeenPact, we believe students learn best by doing. That’s why our State Classes are comprised of focused hands-on leadership training. With classes offered across the nation and for students ages 8-19, young people will quickly discover how to embrace their call as the next generation of leaders through the unique tools, teaching, and opportunities TeenPact provides.
Our Alumni Events take students deeper in their relationship with Christ as they build lasting community and grow through intentional leadership training. While events activities range from meeting legislators on Capitol Hill to team building in South Dakota, the focus is the same – training students to be influential and servant-hearted leaders.
This year, TeenPact’s Judicial event at Liberty University School of Law brought together an incredible group of students for an immersive week of legal education and spiritual growth. One student, Abigail Henderson, shared her powerful journey, which encapsulates the essence of what this event offers.
From the moment students stepped onto the Liberty University campus, they were plunged into a world that combined rigorous academic challenges with profound spiritual experiences. Abigail noted, “This week has heavily impacted my life. My law firm is my favorite part of the week.” This sentiment was echoed by many students, highlighting the unique blend of academic rigor and community.
TeenPact Judicial is not just about learning the law; it’s about shaping future leaders. Students like Abigail learned to develop their strengths and recognize their weaknesses. “This week has both helped me cultivate my strengths and realize my weaknesses and shortcomings. I have made a lot of friends (finally),” she shared. The environment fostered personal growth and the forging of lasting friendships.
The event’s structure included pre-event study, interactive lectures from Liberty Law School professors, and practical training in oral argumentation. “The special emphasis on appreciating the Judeo-Christian roots of our judicial system integrates biblical worldview into both study and conversation,” explained Jordan Armga, the Program Director. These sessions prepared students for the highlight of the week: the Moot Court Tournament. “I’ve improved in public speaking and learned so much about the law,” said another student, reflecting on the intense yet rewarding experience.
Beyond academics, TeenPact Judicial is a time for deepening faith. Morning worship, devotionals, and evening sessions were integral parts of the week. “I’ve grown in my relationship with the Lord. The people here truly care about me, and they love the Lord,” Abigail expressed. The combination of intellectual and spiritual growth created a transformative experience for many.
The TeenPact staff played a crucial role in guiding students through this journey. Event Director John Legg remarked, “Seeing students grow in confidence and faith throughout the week is incredibly rewarding.” Abigail’s testimony was particularly moving: “This week has brought me closer to God, and I have gained some great friends who I will definitely keep in touch with in the future.”
Aryn Rozier, Administrative Director, highlighted the long-term impact of the Judicial event: “Over the years, I’ve seen students transformed by the TeenPact Judicial program. The blend of rigorous legal training and spiritual growth sets them on a path of leadership and faithfulness. I’m continually amazed by their development.”
Assistant Program Director Grant May shared, “The impact of this experience goes beyond the courtroom. It shapes students’ character, strengthens their faith, and equips them to be leaders who can articulate and defend their beliefs with confidence.”
As the week drew to a close, students reflected on their experiences. For Abigail, TeenPact Judicial was more than an event; it was a life-changing experience. “I will never forget this week as it was incredible,” she said. The impact of the event was evident in the students’ newfound confidence and strengthened faith.
TeenPact Judicial is more than just a training ground for future lawyers; it’s a place where young people grow as servant leaders for Christ. If you’re looking to deepen your relationship with God and develop essential skills, join us for TeenPact Judicial next year. As Abigail’s journey shows, this week can be a turning point in your life, too.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the other leaders who made this week possible and to Liberty University for hosting this impactful event. Their support and dedication have been instrumental in providing such a transformative experience for our students. And many thanks to TeenPact’s donors! Without their steady support, TeenPact’s impactful programs would not be possible.
