Read PostThrough dynamic experiences, TeenPact seeks to inspire youth in their relationship with Christ and train them to understand the political process, value their liberty, defend the Christian faith, and engage the culture around them. “Changing lives to change the world” is more than a vision statement to us. It’s what we do every day.
At TeenPact, we believe students learn best by doing. That’s why our State Classes are comprised of focused hands-on leadership training. With classes offered across the nation and for students ages 8-19, young people will quickly discover how to embrace their call as the next generation of leaders through the unique tools, teaching, and opportunities TeenPact provides.
Our Alumni Events take students deeper in their relationship with Christ as they build lasting community and grow through intentional leadership training. While events activities range from meeting legislators on Capitol Hill to team building in South Dakota, the focus is the same – training students to be influential and servant-hearted leaders.
In just 31 days students from all around the country will rendezvous at Lee University for National Convention 2015. The opportunity for leadership development is something our students take seriously, because this event offers preparation for life.
The week is packed full of thought-provoking sessions, powerful worship, engaging small groups, competitive sports, national elections and so much more. Everything we do at National Convention is intensely purposeful, but not every purpose is intense.
Each afternoon and evening we offer an activity we call Coffeehouse.
Coffeehouse provides students with unstructured fellowship to balance out the intensity of other scheduled elements of the week. It offers a unique environment, allowing students to process what they are learning with people that may not be in their small group, dorm, or sports team. This is where authentic people are able to spend time with one another without any pressure of performance.
Each afternoon we create engaging activities for student participation. Last year we saw creativity in photo scavenger hunts, competition in a corn hole tournament, and the opportunity for students to share their skills in talent show.
After the evening session is completed, students walk outside to Alumni Park. This beautifully lit part of the campus is what allows for such a relaxed environment. We offer students a refreshing transition from the session to Rendezvous and bedtime.
You can probably imagine what it is like: a warm breeze, strands of lights hanging from the trees, talented students playing music in the background, coffee in hand, and deep conversations all around.
