You’ll Never Be The Same

TeenPact’s vision is “Changing Lives to Change the World.” We offer Christian discipleship programs throughout the summer for our TeenPact Four Day Class Alumni students.

Please enjoy this student testimony from Evelyn Hanks, an Alumni student from North Carolina who attended TeenPact Judicial, June 21-27, 2015.

I first attended TeenPact Judicial the summer after my ninth grade year. I’ve never missed a year since.

When I first came, I expected to have a good academic experience and get used to staying on Liberty’s campus, where I plan to attend. However, the week itself was so much more than I imagined it could be. Every day was packed with extremely challenging class times, powerful worship sessions, and fun sports activities. The best way to describe the experience is being stretched past the limits you have set for yourself. When that happens, you find out that you have so much untapped potential in both the academic realm and in your faith.

I keep coming back to Judicial because every year it is the best week out of my summer. I always have an amazing time; I meet a lot of great people, grow in my faith, and learn so many new insights about public speaking and argumentation.

For me, one of the highlights of this year’s TeenPact Judicial was getting to know the other students in my small group. It always encourages me to hear testimonies of faith from other Christian students who have backgrounds and struggles different from my own. Also, I enjoyed the afternoon sports times. The camaraderie grew even stronger as we kicked around a soccer ball and of course played Ultimate Frisbee (it is a TeenPact event after all)!

I came away with a new sense of focus and perspective.

This week provided a chance to unplug, remove distractions and rediscover the things that matter.

New perspective has brought me closer to the same truths that God has been trying to teach me back home.

Here is what I tell my friends, “Just come to TeenPact Judicial and you’ll never be the same. There is just no substitute; you need to come and find out for yourself the potential you have to excel when you are faced with a challenge. Take a leap into the academic deep end and you’ll find yourself swimming faster than you thought possible.”

Judicial uniquely combines the intellectual challenge of a week at law school with the hands-on environment found at TeenPact.

We have plans to return to Liberty University School of Law for TeenPact Judicial in June of 2016. We hope you’ll join us.
