Class Director

Kevin Gentzler

Kevin Gentzler proudly calls Leavenworth, Kansas, home. He retired from active duty with the U.S. Army in 2008 after serving 22 years. During his years of service, he acted as the Commander of the 15th Finance Battalion, commanding at Ft. Hood, Texas and in Iraq in 2006 and 2007. Currently, Kevin works as an assistant professor of leadership studies at the US Army Command and General Staff College.

Kevin and his wife, Kathy, became interested in TeenPact many years ago after meeting a TeenPact Traveling Intern and then hearing of the program’s merits from other homeschool parents. TeenPact significantly influenced they and their four children’s lives for many years. Since 2010, Kevin and Kathy have also served as the TeenPact Kansas State Coordinators. While they no longer have children participating in TeenPact, the Gentzlers continue to serve because they see the impact of the ministry of students and families’ lives.

Outside of TeenPact, Kevin currently serves as an elder for the Church of the Open Door in Leavenworth, Kansas where he oversees the AWANA ministry and an annual community-wide outreach, as well as teaching adult Sunday school. He is currently completing his dissertation and doctoral studies in Leadership and Management with the University of Phoenix. If you’re passing through Leavenworth, make sure you stop by the Gentzler family business, The Queen’s Pantry, for delicious teas and British goods.
