“Am I Satisfied in You?”

What are you searching for? I mean really, really searching for? What is your gaze set upon? What is your goal in this life? What gets you up in the morning and gives you that deep sense of peace & motivation?

Maybe you’re like me. Sometimes, the answer is to gain praise, positions, academic knowledge, strength, freedom from responsibility, money, power, affection, or just filling that void I can’t get rid of.

But friend, how do you think you can find fulfillment in a different way than how God has designed for you? If He is your Creator, will He not provide a way for you to be fully satisfied?

Let’s walk through some scriptures together. Because how else are we going to find the truth if it’s not from the mouth of God?

In John 14:5-6, we read,

“Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

‭‭

Just like Thomas, we ask in doubt again and again, “God, what is really the way?” But it’s as simple as this—finding Christ and loving Him with your whole heart, soul, mind, and strength.

Isn’t it just simply astounding that we can find so much life, joy, and purpose by merely loving our Faithful Creator?

So, friend, if you want to fill that void, will you not drop everything that is keeping you from loving Him first? How can we love Him first if there are other idols in our hearts, things that we long for more than intimacy with our Savior or something that dazzles us?

If we felt the gravity of what Christ does for us, no other false-joy could even come close to distracting us away from Him. Seek Him! Read what glorious things He has done for you.

If we truly believe He is our rock & refuge, will we not get right with God and meet with Him first before turning to any human relationship?

If we believe He is sovereign, will we not seek His kingdom and righteousness first and crush every worry under the truth that He didn’t even spare His own Son so He will freely give us all things we need? Believer, this is TRUE.

Let’s walk through one more verse, ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭16:11‬.

“You make known to me the path of life; in Your presence there is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”

Is this not enough for you and me? Boldly approach His throne. Cling to the fullness of joy found in His presence like a toddler with a new toy.

Every earthly thing that we can earn, gain, or experience will fade, but HIS steadfast love remains. The riches of His glories are unsearchable! So together, pushing one another on, let’s lay aside every weight that keeps us from loving our perfect Father first.
