In mid-July, a record number of TeenPact Alumni Students gathered at Liberty University School of Law to participate in Judicial, an Alumni Event held each year.

To accommodate the demand for this event, the class size was increased from 48 students in 2021 to 70 students in 2022, a growth of 31%. Designed to train students to understand the judicial process, practice case law, and develop excellent oral argumentation skills, participants experienced a full-immersion week of simulated law school in this action-packed event.

One 2022 Judicial Student relates about his experience this year:

“Going into the week, I was nervous. I had done moot court before, but it was online, and I didn’t know what to expect. Now that the week is over, I can confidently say it was one of the best weeks of my life. This experience has taught me to never underestimate the power of God. From worship to moot court, I grew as a Christian. I will never forget this week. I was able to make solid, godly friends who would build me up. After participating in Judicial, I feel confident in debate, moot court, and most importantly, my walk with Jesus Christ.”

A Former TeenPact intern and program director of Judicial reflects on his experiences:

After attending TeenPact Florida and Judicial, Aaron McCurdy served with TeenPact as a Traveling Intern and then as Program Director for Judicial. Aaron attributes his experiences with TeenPact, specifically TeenPact Judicial, with his decision to become an attorney. “I would not be where I am today without TeenPact and TeenPact Judicial. Little did I know when I walked into my first Four Day Class in Tallahassee that this organization would forever impact my life.”

– Aaron McCurdy, Partner at the McDonald Fleming law firm in Pensacola, FL

One legal professional who served as a judge in the Moot Court shared:

“This was one of the most impressive final rounds of moot court I have ever seen. Next year, I would love to come for the whole tournament!”

Aryn Young, one of the Program Directors for Judicial, explains the impact she observes at Judicial:

“Every year, Students at Judicial come into the week with some hesitancy and nervousness. With lectures from professors, rigorous personal preparation, and a tournament at the end of the week, there is a lot of uncertainty, and many Students feel a lot of pressure. By the end of the week, Students have learned so much, have been challenged, and more importantly, have grown together in their friendships and their trust in the Lord. The camaraderie that is built at the event is unlike any other as the experiences shared at Judicial are unmatched.” Aryn concludes, “It was so exciting to see the growth of the impact of Judicial by being able to welcome more Students.”
