A Before and After Story

Currently, I am a senior in high school and will be staffing with TeenPact for a third season in 2023. TeenPact staffers lead by example–that’s what I immediately noticed on the first day of the 2019 Delaware Four Day State Class. I wanted to lead as they led–on fire for the Lord and with a servant’s heart. Walking away from my first TeenPact experience, I knew how I wanted to act, which led to me chasing the Lord and His plan for me. 

During that first TeenPact experience, my entire heartset changed, and I began to see a new overflow of the Holy Spirit in every tenet of my life. There was a new joy in everyday life. Whenever I felt overwhelmed, I fell back to God. And I began to treat people with kindness. Through TeenPact, I was able to discover my faith and make it my own, even at the age of 13. 

TeenPact has also called me to a higher standard as a leader. I learned that even in secular leadership positions, if I lead with Christ’s love, then people notice. TeenPact taught me that a good leader always boils down to their heartset, and because of that, I have learned that a relationship with the Lord is to be valued above all else because the correct heartset will follow. 

This fall, I plan to attend a Christian college with a major in finance. In the future, I hope to combine my love for business and ministry.
