Read PostThrough dynamic experiences, TeenPact seeks to inspire youth in their relationship with Christ and train them to understand the political process, value their liberty, defend the Christian faith, and engage the culture around them. “Changing lives to change the world” is more than a vision statement to us. It’s what we do every day.
At TeenPact, we believe students learn best by doing. That’s why our State Classes are comprised of focused hands-on leadership training. With classes offered across the nation and for students ages 8-19, young people will quickly discover how to embrace their call as the next generation of leaders through the unique tools, teaching, and opportunities TeenPact provides.
Our Alumni Events take students deeper in their relationship with Christ as they build lasting community and grow through intentional leadership training. While events activities range from meeting legislators on Capitol Hill to team building in South Dakota, the focus is the same – training students to be influential and servant-hearted leaders.
This year’s TeenPact Media event, held for the first time at Asbury University in Wilmore, KY, was a week filled with growth, learning, and inspiration. From honing technical skills to deepening faith, the impact on the students who attended was profound.
TeenPact Media aims to inspire and equip students to develop their God-given creative gifts in the digital age. The event focuses on teaching the art of storytelling, the principles of design, and the power of multimedia production. Students choose from one of five tracks and work together to create a cohesive messaging campaign for a client, culminating in a final project presentation.
Throughout the week, students received hands-on training from media professionals and participated in small group breakouts and plenary sessions. The collaboration and mentorship were evident in the impressive projects produced by the end of the event. Kylee Deloglos, Admin Director, remarked, “The students’ projects this year were the most accomplished I have seen yet.”
The students’ testimonies highlight the event’s impact on both their education and spiritual growth. One student shared, “This week has not only helped me learn so much about media, it has also brought me closer to the Lord.” Another said, “I have learned an incredible amount of knowledge and feel so equipped to tackle bigger projects in the future!”
Many students arrived with minimal experience in photography or videography, but their progress was astounding. As an Asbury University professor and Media instructor noted, “It’s remarkable what these students have learned this week. Many arrived with little or no photography or videography skills. But the level of skill they used to complete their projects is impressive!”
Beyond technical skills, the event fostered personal growth and teamwork. One student reflected, “I learned so much about design, and that can really transfer to an internship that I am a part of. The classes were easy to follow but so in-depth, and I can’t wait to go home and keep designing.”
Another student emphasized the broader impact, saying, “It gave me lots of hard skills that are very applicable to my future. Also, it was a great time to re-center myself in the Word.”
Isaac Richardson, Program Director, summed up the event’s success: “TeenPact Media inspires and equips students to develop their God-given creative gifts and talents in a digital age. Our world needs leaders who have the character and skills to compellingly communicate God’s truth and beauty through media and other creative arts.”
This year’s event was made even more special by the partnership with Asbury University, whose incredible hospitality provided a fantastic environment for learning and growth. The university’s resources and support played a crucial role in the success of TeenPact Media 2024.
As the students return home, they carry with them not only new skills but also a renewed sense of purpose and connection to their faith. One student’s words echo the sentiment of many: “I grew closer to God while making friends and learning information I never knew.”
TeenPact Media continues to inspire the next generation of creative leaders, equipping them with the tools they need to make a positive impact on the world. We look forward to seeing how these young creatives will use their talents to communicate God’s truth and beauty in the digital age.
Join us next year for another incredible journey of growth and inspiration with TeenPact Media. Thank you to the many leaders and donors who made this transformational journey possible!
