Through dynamic experiences, TeenPact seeks to inspire youth in their relationship with Christ and train them to understand the political process, value their liberty, defend the Christian faith, and engage the culture around them. “Changing lives to change the world” is more than a vision statement to us. It’s what we do every day.
At TeenPact, we believe students learn best by doing. That’s why our State Classes are comprised of focused hands-on leadership training. With classes offered across the nation and for students ages 8-19, young people will quickly discover how to embrace their call as the next generation of leaders through the unique tools, teaching, and opportunities TeenPact provides.
Our Alumni Events take students deeper in their relationship with Christ as they build lasting community and grow through intentional leadership training. While events activities range from meeting legislators on Capitol Hill to team building in South Dakota, the focus is the same – training students to be influential and servant-hearted leaders.
Set the alarm. Go to sleep. It’s been a long work day.
Wake up. Shower. Professional attire.
Breakfast. In hand, The TeenPact Times, your favorite newspaper about the previous day’s goings-on, in and around the session. Oh yeah, the fashion column. Check out President Luke Martin’s shirt/tie combo. Nice. #ThanksFitzpatrick
Check the sunrise. Perfect.
The buses pull onto the property. Early as always. We’re ready to go.
This August 9-14 our students will return to Tallahassee, Florida for a one-of-a-kind experience called TeenPact Congress. This event is led by former TeenPact Intern and Program Director Josh Cockroft, who currently serves as a State Representative in Oklahoma. He and the staff work months ahead of time to prepare for what is one of the highest reviewed TeenPact Alumni Events. Ever.
Students are offered a chance to participate in one of four roles – Representative, Senator, Lobbyist, or Journalist.
Students who participate in the legislature actually work on the House and Senate floor of the Florida State Capitol. It is an unbelievable experience.
The Lobbyist Track provides the most hands-on learning experience of what it means to work for a cause, with the issues that matter most to you constantly on the line.
The journalists participate by observing the legislature in session, recording votes, interviewing sponsors of hot-topic issues, and reporting on the legislative session.
Make no mistake, this event will push you to your limits. Your days will be spent working. Hard. Your afternoons will be full of Ultimate Frisbee and sand volleyball. Your evenings will be spent learning from godly teaching and a time of debrief you know as Rendezvous. Worship music in the morning. In the evening.
As with all of our Alumni Events, TeenPact Congress is all about Jesus. We believe that by giving you a hands-on, on-site way to learn about the national political process, we can actually inspire leadership in you.
You are a leader. We need leaders in our country. And hey, we need leaders like you at TeenPact Congress.
We want you to join us! TeenPact Congress will be held July 31-August 5 in Tallahassee, FL. Save $20 with our Early Bird Discount if you register before THIS Wednesday, June 10.
Join us this August for a life-changing experience!
