Read PostThrough dynamic experiences, TeenPact seeks to inspire youth in their relationship with Christ and train them to understand the political process, value their liberty, defend the Christian faith, and engage the culture around them. “Changing lives to change the world” is more than a vision statement to us. It’s what we do every day.
At TeenPact, we believe students learn best by doing. That’s why our State Classes are comprised of focused hands-on leadership training. With classes offered across the nation and for students ages 8-19, young people will quickly discover how to embrace their call as the next generation of leaders through the unique tools, teaching, and opportunities TeenPact provides.
Our Alumni Events take students deeper in their relationship with Christ as they build lasting community and grow through intentional leadership training. While events activities range from meeting legislators on Capitol Hill to team building in South Dakota, the focus is the same – training students to be influential and servant-hearted leaders.
At Back to DC our family began to understand TeenPact’s mission. Yes, it is a leadership school. Yes, it is a government class. And, yes, it is a lot of fun. But, truly, TeenPact is a ministry of Jesus Christ.”
— A parent from Back to DC last year
Hey there! My name is Quinton Cools, and I have the privilege of serving as the Program Director of TeenPact’s event for alumni called Back to DC. This event offers an amazing experience to learn and laugh with old and new friends from all around the country. I have so many memories that will last a lifetime from Back to DC.
Here are just 7 reasons why I think you should join us this September:
Worship in the morning. Worship at night. Worship in the class room. Worship on the rooftop. Even worship at the Lincoln Memorial after a sunset tour of the national monuments. It’s like nothing you’ve ever experienced before.
This year’s Back to DC staff team will be comprised of upcoming 2017 TeenPact Interns. We create a great opportunity for you to interact with the leaders of next year’s classes. They are eager to build friendships that will encourage and challenge you as you follow Jesus and love people.
If you’re looking for the best political and campaign training in the nation’s capital, look no further than the faculty found at the conservative Leadership Institute. Classes are offered for public speaking, effective writing, debate preparation, and much more.
We are planning to attend the 2016 Values Voter Summit, presented by Family Research Council. Past speakers at this conference have included: Sen. Marco Rubio (FL), Gov. Scott Walker (WI), Sen. Ted Cruz (TX), Sen. Rand Paul (KY), and many more.
That’s right. TeenPacters. Ultimate Frisbee. On the National Mall (fields in the middle of the city, between the monuments, Capitol Building, and White House). Memories. Made.
The Leadership Institute offers a program called the Race to the White House, where their training sessions are actually intended to prepare you for a campaign for Student Body President. A debate between the presidential candidates caps off a riveting campaign experience.
Possibly the most unique opportunity of them all is simply living in our nation’s capitol for a week. Every morning, you get to wake up, get ready for the day, and take the Metro into the city for the day’s activities. Every night, it’s a Metro back, in preparation for another day. It’s unbelievable.
P.S. THIS WEEK ONLY: Save $20 with our Early Bird Discount. Happy Independence Day! I hope to see you soon at Back to DC!
