Through dynamic experiences, TeenPact seeks to inspire youth in their relationship with Christ and train them to understand the political process, value their liberty, defend the Christian faith, and engage the culture around them. “Changing lives to change the world” is more than a vision statement to us. It’s what we do every day.
At TeenPact, we believe students learn best by doing. That’s why our State Classes are comprised of focused hands-on leadership training. With classes offered across the nation and for students ages 8-19, young people will quickly discover how to embrace their call as the next generation of leaders through the unique tools, teaching, and opportunities TeenPact provides.
Our Alumni Events take students deeper in their relationship with Christ as they build lasting community and grow through intentional leadership training. While events activities range from meeting legislators on Capitol Hill to team building in South Dakota, the focus is the same – training students to be influential and servant-hearted leaders.
The vision of TeenPact is one worth sharing. We are seeking new ways to express the heart of this ministry and promote the work that we do. (To read about some of our other communications work, check out this post by Quinton Cools from a few weeks back.) One of the most exciting projects that we have been working on this year is creating a set of promotional videos to be used at conferences, student groups, and anywhere else that would benefit from a visual representation of our State Class Program. Filming for the pieces began in January at the Texas State Capitol. We joined the Texas I class in Austin for four intense days of filming, script writing, reviewing, and voice recording.
Our videographer is Jillian Bowen of Every Generation Productions. You may remember Jill from her commercial work last year on the media team at National Convention. Since our week of filming, she has spent hours editing and rendering the captured footage.
The final cuts of the videos will premier at National Convention this May. After that, they will be released for public use. Look for another post next month with details about how to download and share the videos. We are so excited to see how God will use this project to inspire families to become a part of the TeenPact family.
