Read PostThrough dynamic experiences, TeenPact seeks to inspire youth in their relationship with Christ and train them to understand the political process, value their liberty, defend the Christian faith, and engage the culture around them. “Changing lives to change the world” is more than a vision statement to us. It’s what we do every day.
At TeenPact, we believe students learn best by doing. That’s why our State Classes are comprised of focused hands-on leadership training. With classes offered across the nation and for students ages 8-19, young people will quickly discover how to embrace their call as the next generation of leaders through the unique tools, teaching, and opportunities TeenPact provides.
Our Alumni Events take students deeper in their relationship with Christ as they build lasting community and grow through intentional leadership training. While events activities range from meeting legislators on Capitol Hill to team building in South Dakota, the focus is the same – training students to be influential and servant-hearted leaders.
Greetings from Richmond,
While growing up in Minnesota a long time ago, one of my favorite days of the year was opening day of baseball. I have always been a fan of the Minnesota Twins, and I remember listening to the 1965 World Series when the Twins lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers in seven games – on a transistor radio. If you have never heard of a transistor radio, then check it out on the Internet.
Opening day of baseball was fantastic for many reasons, but most importantly it meant that summer was not too far away! That was particularly exciting in Minnesota as we were slowly thawing out from the frigid, snowy winter. It was the beginning of many new possibilities, and on opening day, every team had the same record and could dream of a World Series victory – including the Cubs!
After college I had the opportunity to return to Minnesota and lived there for nine years. During that time, not only were my five oldest children born, but the Twins won the World Series twice – in 1987 and 1991. Needless to say, I watched all those games on television!
Now that I am a bit older, opening day of baseball isn’t as memorable and I now have a new favorite day – September 1st, when TeenPact Leadership Schools registration opens for the new state class season! This day recognizes many new possibilities – a new line-up of Program Directors, Interns, and state staffers, newly renovated Capitol buildings and camps, and new opportunities for God to move in the hearts and the lives of thousands of students, staffers, and parents, and so much more.
Are you ready to join in the fun of opening day of TeenPact? If so, then you can go online at NOON today and register for a class in your home state. You can find out more information about your state, including the class dates, by visiting the website at www.teenpact.com/ Encourage your friends to attend as well, and then root, root, root for your home state, watching the numbers increase throughout the fall and into the 2017 season.
Would you also commit to pray for TeenPact Leadership Schools on a regular basis this season? There are many obstacles that can get in the way of our fulfilling the vision of changing lives to change the world, and prayer can be used to overcome those obstacles. God calls us to pray faithfully and we are blessed in the office when we know that you are praying for the ministry.
Cheerfully,
Peter Martin, President
