Four Day Class

February 25-28, 2019

The Four Day class is a dynamic, hands-on program where students are taught all the elements of state government and student leadership through field experiences, prayer walks, mock legislation and much more. The class is lead by a well trained student staff team who make learning educational, engaging and fun!

Please meet in the Capitol Rotunda, under the dome, at 12:45 p.m. on Monday.  A TeenPact Staff member will meet you and direct you to the classroom. If you will be traveling from out of town, be sure to drop your luggage at your housing location prior to arriving at the Capitol, or plan to leave it in your vehicle. No luggage is permitted inside the Capitol Building.

Please review our dress code before attending the class.

On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, TeenPact offers Evening Sessions that give students the opportunity to relax and fellowship with like-minded peers in a more casual environment. Students play games, participate in small groups, enjoy a time of worship, and are challenged by a message from the Class Director. Evening Sessions are an integral part of the TeenPact experience, allowing students to combine the academic emphasis in class with a spiritual focus on students’ relationships with God and one another. We often like to say, “TeenPact is so much more than what happens at the capitol!” Parents are invited as well.

More details on times and locations coming soon. Check back in for more details.

Parents are welcome and encouraged to stay and observe the Four Day class. We love having parents learning right alongside their student! If you’re unable to stay for the class, please join us for graduation on Thursday beginning at 1:00 p.m. During graduation, students participate in a short mock legislative session, hear speeches from the elected officials, hear a charge from the Program Director, receive graduation certificates and much more!

TeenPact South Dakota students are invited to join us for hotel lodging throughout the week. More location details to come soon. Check back in for more information.

NOTE: Students and Parents are not required to stay at this hotel if other arrangements have been made.

Political Communication Workshop

March 1, 2019

The Political Communication Workshop allows students to explore different aspects of political communication and public presentation through activities and discussions that will challenge students in their public speaking skills. Attendees will participate in a day filled with academic material ranging from policy debates and mock legislative sessions to field experiences, not to mention continued interaction with like minded teens and curriculum that guides students towards Biblical truth.

Please meet in the Capitol Rotunda, under the dome, at 9:45 a.m. on Friday. A TeenPact staff member will meet you and direct you to the classroom.
